Personal Life_Being A Creative Entrepreneur

Q: Nikki, Where do you disappear to?

A: I'm not far! Just enjoying life & creating without my phone!

I usually take a 4-6 month hiatus from business and creating because burnout is real (been there before - I didn't used to take breaks, that was stupid), I run two businesses by myself and a I'm human not a machine so, even though I'm not on a hiatus - the space I'm in, I cannot be on social media everyday if that's where you're looking for me. I just can't be. Call me weird but I'm that entrepreneur who believes in my offerings outside of the space so many rely on. My purpose is beyond popularity. Plus, I don't want you to get used to seeing me on there, that's not a space I want to keep up with. Shruggs

Creating literally saved my life and sometimes I need to create, work & design etc. in  peace. Not for likes, followers and views. It already takes a lot of energy to grow a business in real life, so the last thing I'm thinking about is making content and then fighting the algorithm just to prove my worth in being seen! No time.

I pop in and out but I really show up because I appreciate my supporters and teaching the artistry of leather work - so if I'm not getting on your nerves everyday via social media, I'm creating without the noise...It has gotten me very far! Even in the day where "success" is measured by how many "followers" you have - You can still be great outside of IG. Remember that! Don't drive yourself crazy.

If you're a creative or an entrepreneur, remember stay tunnel vision focused on what's in front of you, tune out the distractions and don't worry about who's doing what to the right or left of you! #keep-going

I've been saying this for a WHILE, I love me some YouTube (it doesn't feel like IG), you can find me over there and maybe a little more on IG if I batch record and edit (maybe) but don't hold me to it!

See you soon!
